Saturday, May 4, 2013. This first quilt was made this spring. It is from a class I took by the. Lumber Yard gals here in Yuma, AZ. This quilt is made from panel that I picked up in Oregon many years ago. I actually bought several of the panels and this is the last. This one is made from technique called Exploding Pineapples. It is fun to make because you start with a center square and another square the same size and go from there.

Onze lieve Elly Zijlstra is zeer plotseling van ons heen gegaan. We zijn verbijsterd maar het is waar, onze Miss Elly is er niet meer. Er zijn geen tranen en woorden genoeg voor ons verdriet nu wij, geheel onverwachts, afscheid moeten gaan nemen van onze altijd zo zorgzame en lieve Elly. Wat zullen we haar vreselijk gaan missen. Onze gedachten zijn bij Rob en de familie, en wensen hen veel sterkte in deze moeilijke tijd.
